Speaking in Krasnoyarsk, the Prime Minister said that the government would allocate additional means for strengthening security on public transport. “If necessary, we will have to make changes to the law, bearing in mind that municipal transport is not a state property,” Putin said. He stressed, however, that security is a common objective. Putin also said that he had charged Transport Minister Igor Levitin and Health Minister Tatyana Golikova with preparing a governmental order to pay compensation to those wounded in the March 29 Moscow Metro attacks, as well as to the relatives of those killed. The Prime Minister said the order must be ready by Monday evening.
