I grew up listening to them so for me it's all about the
memories. Who else is here in 2018 and let's continue to listen. Sly
Stone is still here with us. Sly is a musical genius and legend. Today
the word "Legend" is used a lot and those are self-proclamations. Let
me share something with you. Sly is a legend because he came in on
that wave when the sound of music was changing. The genres' of music
at that time was jazz, blues, rock and roll and soul/r&b. Funk was
born and it took artists like Sly to breathe life into it. He brought
with it a blend and balance, creative styles and fashion and unity.
That's why he's a legend.
